Time 4-after a big meal
Situation 5-someone has found of lost someone
Paris, France, the city of love and wine. It was the first week of my summer vacation and I'm stuck here. After the long flight over here I wanted to just sleep, but when the air craft landed we were suppose to meet up with one of my parents old friends from here. Of course, she wasn't here and we just went to a wine tasting place instead. Here I'm old enough to drink, yet my parents say they don't want to ruin me. There wasn't one good thing about this place, everybody here is ugly, they dress funny, and I can't understand half of them! The only fun part of this whole trip was this young photographer I met the second day here. He could tell I was bored out of my mind so he walked over to me and asked if I wanted to see some of his photo's? I wasn't doing anything so I decided to. They were amazing pictures! Everything was on there, the ocean, mountains, the sky, and this old bridge that was falling apart. Other than him this trip has sucked.
Just when I didn't think it could get any worse my parents tell me where going to go this placed called Le Grand Vefoure, its suppose to be the nicest place to eat in all of France, I think they said something about having to make reservations a year before we even came here. I'm sure we will have a waiter who has a expensive bottle of wine stuck up his âna.
Even though we will have a snobby waiter , I'm sure it will give me something to make fun of while we are at dinner. We don't have to go to the restaurant until Tuesday so that will give me one more day of dreading it. One plus that we are here is that I get to buy clothes that no one will have back home, and I get to be all dressed for big dinner coming up.
Even if this is the second time coming here I still can't speak or understand any French. Lucky for me though my Mom and Dad are quiet fluent in it. Now me and my younger brother of course can't speak a lick of it. Whenever we eat or buy stuff I always have to have them order for me, which gets old after awhile, but it's a lot easier than having to learn it myself. When we go into stores and other places most people stare at us since we don't look or dress much like them. If I had to stay with my parents all the time I'd probably go crazy.
We were finally going into Le Grand Vefoure, and we saw one of my mom's friends that she had been looking for ever since we landed here. They met the first trip that my parents first came here, it was about ten or fifteen years when they came here for their honey-moon. She waved to us and we went over to sit with them the restaurant was actually really nice and the waiter spoke English very well so he helped me and my other brother order something that we would like. I guess I should' have had a broader view of things and not be so closed minded. I wonder if the next time we come here we can have the nice waiter and I'll have even more fun!
